Hosting City
Tirana is a vibrant and youthful city, home to the majority of Albania’s public and private universities. With young people making up nearly half of its population (48.5%), the city has developed a dynamic and energetic character, strongly shaped by student life.
In recent years, Tirana has undergone a visible transformation, with more green spaces, improved public areas, and a growing focus on sustainability and quality of life. This makes it an easy and welcoming city to navigate, especially for first-time visitors.
As the European Youth Capital 2022, Tirana hosted over 1,000 activities dedicated to young people from Albania and across Europe.
In 2023, the city was awarded the title of European City of Sport and successfully organised the European Universities Football Championship 2023.
For many of you, this may be your first time in Albania. Tirana is a compact and accessible city, known for its hospitality, lively atmosphere, and a strong café culture.
The City of Students Dormitories are located just a 5-minute walk from the Grand Park of the Artificial Lake.
We encourage you to explore it beyond the competition venues.
